Getting Ready for 2024: Down Home Members File for Office

At Down Home, we are serious about building multiracial power with poor and working people.

At the core of that mission is our belief that to get the things we really need in our small towns and rural counties– things like affordable and safe housing, good healthcare, high-quality public schools, fair wages– we need to have poor and working people in the room when decisions are made.

That is why we invested heavily in 2023 in providing training and support for poor and working-class  Down Home members who committed to run for office in their communities.  This December, the following Down Home members filed to run for office in 2024. These are the one’s to watch, y’all!
