When hundreds of people in attendance were shut out of the Alamance Historic Courthouse, they held their own public comment outside to reject the proposed budget that would slam the largest employers in the county — healthcare and education.

Alamance County’s top three employers are in healthcare and education. Combined with the cuts members of the U.S. Senate, including NC Senator Thom Tillis, are considering to Medicaid and SNAP, the budget proposed by Alamance County’s commissioners could send the economy over the cliff.
