Our member Jason explains why his chapter endorses Robert Fountain for Sheriff of Granville County.
Down Home Granville just endorsed Robert Fountain. The reason why it’s so important to me is because he is just going to be a breath of fresh air for Granville County.
We’ve had so much going on as far as corruption and the good ol’ boy system baton being passed down and passed down from good ol’ boy to good ol’ boy.
It’s just been a crazy situation we’ve had here in Granville County.
Robert Fountain comes with a lot of experience. He’s done gang training, racial equity training. He brings a lot to the table.
So I’m just so thrilled. It’s a personal win for us because he will be the first Black sheriff in Granville County. We are going to say when he gets elected, not going to say if, because he will get elected. And it’s going to be a big win for us. It’s going to be a big piece of history for us, and I’m so glad we were able to endorse Robert Fountain for Sheriff.
